A View From Afar

During times of high stress, like most of the past few weeks, I like to keep perspective on what’s really important. This image is one of my favorites for a lot of reasons, including keeping my perspective.

This image is from the Cassini spacecraft orbiting the planet Saturn. This particular image is an actual photograph, not retouched, of the spacecraft looking back from Saturn towards it’s launch point, Earth.  The image was first published September 27, 2006.

Whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed, I keep this photo in mind. This tends to help put things in perspective.
