I had sort of taken photos of natural textures off and on over the years. But, when the great struck in 2020 I found myself restricted to my house and immediate surroundings. As I still wanted to take photos, I was forced to sharpen my views on what was immediately around me. I started to see, really see, the close-ups textures in nature.
These were minute images such as leaves on a lawn, sand sculpted by a stream, beds of pebbles, and more. But they began to fascinate me. From then on I started focusing my photo efforts on these textures in nature. As of 2025 I find myself looking for these textures and focusing on photographing them.
I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I’ve enjoyed capturing them.
