His doctorate thesis was on the history of the Lute, and he is one of the world's leading scholars on this esoteric family of instruments. After several years of wandering between the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and North Africa, Jeff settled in Eureka, California. He now teaches and continues his studies on esoteric folk instruments.
