As many of our frequent visitors (visitors => More Than Two) may remember, back in December and January I posted about a problem with our local DMV. It seemed that the various DMV officials were making stuff up in increasingly new and original ways, to prevent Winnie from obtaining her driver’s license (and by default, proof of Virginia residency). My breaking point was when, on our fifth trip over a period of 7 weeks, they denied her license on basis that she could not prove how she made the jump from her maiden name “Wei Fang Li” to married name “Wei Fang Li Charest.”

Once again, our own Jonah Goldberg, the greatest living writer of all time, has presented us with a column of striking insight concerning the urgent need for privatizing our public schools.
Our local Prince William County, Virginia, newspaper “The Potomac News” ran a letter to the editor today that ranks as one of the most hateful screeds against immigration that I have ever read, anywhere. Even though I have already pegged this particular newspaper as a hard-core conservative newspaper, I was still shocked they would print such a letter. I had to respond.
In my continuing series of letters, I’ve had the opportunity to write to columnist Andrew Sullivan. “Andy” is a conservative columnist who writes for a number of publications, including “Time” magazine and “The Atlantic,” both their print and on-line publications. The occasion for my letters was being fed up with Andy expressing shock at the latest public outrage by shock-jock Ann Coulter.
Advisory: Don’t click over the fold if you get the vapors from adult subject matter.
While this may be a few days late, I’ve finally had time to respond to Columnist David Broder’s offensive and idiotic comments in his February 6 column. For those few who missed it, Broder wrote a column about the recent DNC conference where all ten 2008 presidential contenders spoke.
We have just received a written response from the Governor’s office regarding my complaint with the Dale City DMV.
Once again, the response is a long-winded acknowledgment of nothing.
But never admits to any errors…
Winnie received a response from the Virginia DMV today. Even though I wrote the letters of complaint, the third request I made in the 16 December letter was a direct response to Winnie explaining what she needed to do to gain her driver’s license.
The DMV never acknowledged their “Customer Service Representatives” made any errors, yet essentially, the documents they have told Winnie to provide is everything provided on the last three trips. Everything that is, except a letter from the DMV Commissioner.
The National Review Online “The Corner” by my most beloved writer, Jonah Goldberg, arguably the greatest living writer of all time, strikes serious pay dirt with today’s post Save The Polar Bears.
Today’s treat offers his suggestions on solving the prospective threat of a world with no polar bears.

I’ve gained a personal perspective on the vast difference between Government-Run health care and Free-Market Driven heath care over these past several months.
My Letter To the Editor – Published!
The Friday before going on vacation, June 29, I read a column in our local “Potomac News” that irked me more than normal. I read the Potomac News every day on my morning bus commute, and I can only state how shocked I am at the tone of local editorials and Letters to The Editor (LTE). “Hateful” and “bigoted” are two words that come to mind in my daily readings. “Willful ignorance” is a term I frequently think of. But columnist Ken Concannon, who pretends he is a “fair and balanced writer”, really annoys me.
Even against the background of ignorance, hatefulness, and bigotry, Mr. Concannon’s column of June 29 “Some commentary on Nazis and socialism” got me angry.
