Our House With Dogwood Tree In Bloom

On this Easter Sunday, 2007, I’d like to share a few neighborhood pictures of what spring looks like in our new home.

But you’ll need to click the “More” link to see them… Consider this news post is several thousand words long!

Here’s some shots of our house, also taken two weeks ago. We have a large tree next to our driveway that turns out to be some type of flowering tree. Very pretty indeed! And apparent proof that spring had indeed arrived.

Our neighborhood looked pretty all up and down the street. This is a quiet street with lots of trees and well-tended front yards. Almost every house had a flowering tree with lots of color.

Looking Down the Neighborhood

A few days after the tree came out in bloom, the flowers started dropping off. It almost looked like snow, with all the flowers covering the driveway, lawn, boat and trailer.

After nearly two weeks of flowering trees and new blooms announcing spring had arrived, we had this yesterday morning:

Snow in The Springtime

and all up and down the street, we saw this:

The snow was gone by noontime, but it was still a shock. Just when we thought spring was finally here…

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter celebration, and the start of a wonderful springtime ahead!
