While this may be a few days late, I’ve finally had time to respond to Columnist David Broder’s offensive and idiotic comments in his February 6 column. For those few who missed it, Broder wrote a column about the recent DNC conference where all ten 2008 presidential contenders spoke.

We have just received a written response from the Governor’s office regarding my complaint with the Dale City DMV.

Once again, the response is a long-winded acknowledgment of nothing.

Winnie received a response from the Virginia DMV today. Even though I wrote the letters of complaint, the third request I made in the 16 December letter was a direct response to Winnie explaining what she needed to do to gain her driver’s license.

The DMV never acknowledged their “Customer Service Representatives” made any errors, yet essentially, the documents they have told Winnie to provide is everything provided on the last three trips. Everything that is, except a letter from the DMV Commissioner.

Howard Dean was our keynote speaker the evening of March 2, 2005, in Jackson Mississippi, at the annual $75-a-plate Mississippi Democratic Elected Officials appreciation dinner and fundraiser. Governor Dean’s appearance here was part of his Red, White, and Blue Tour making appearances in “Red” states across the US. I had the great privilege of attending this dinner and hearing him speak. This is my account of the evening.
