Friday Night Music to Celebrate

Uptown Funk Dancing
Getting Into The Music

So it’s been a terrible couple of weeks that followed a terrible year. But now it’s Friday evening and I think we can all use a little bit of celebration for making it this far.

Herein I present music for a Friday night’s celebration.

These past couple of weeks haven’t been the first time American’s have been severely challenged. Our greatest generation grew up in the Great Depression and then had to fight fascists’ across the globe. So give them credit for knowing how to cut loose a bit and dance even when everything was going to hell.

At the same time, the music of our Greatest Generation was kind of – lame. I mean, singing along with Mitch Miller was ok, as far as that went. But could Mitch hold his own against Led Zeppelin, or Queen? So how about if we mashup yester-years great dancing with our current great music?

The Mashup

With no further ado, I present a wonderful mashup of the dancing stars of our Greatest Generation doing their thing to our generation’s music.

As a special bonus; I can’t help but notice how many clips of dancing sailors are included.
